TAVA News: Let’s Welcome New Leadership

On August 22, 2022, TAVA held elections for new Board Officers in Washington D.C. during our Leaders Summit.

We congratulate our new President Rebekka Eshler, our new Vice President Avalisa Ellicott, and our new Secretary Heather O’Malley on their new positions.

But those weren’t the only changes as far as leadership is concerned and we want to congratulate our new Board Directors on their new positions as well.

Zora Thomas is our new Director of Communications. Tayden Haile is our new Director of Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations. Stacy Lunsford is our new Director of VA Engagement. Josie Caballero is our new Director of Research. Rusty Mead is our new Director of Fundraising. Our former President, Ann Murdoch is our new Director of the Speaker’s Bureau. Our former Vice President, Angela Brightfeather is now the chair of the Emeritus Board. And last but not least, Cassandra Williamson has stepped down from her position on the Board of Directors to fill the position of TAVA’s Executive Director.

We congratulate all of our new and existing leadership on taking the initiative and transforming passion into action. With the welcoming of seven new board members, we now have a full board of AMAZING and PASSIONATE volunteers that are ready to make change. TAVA’s future as an organization is BRIGHT and we are EXCITED for what is coming.
